This Summer, dozens of teachers will gather in El Yunque to collaborate with the forest ranger team and environmental scientists to create uniquely engaging lessons aligned with Department of Education standards on:
Watersheds
Water Quality
Waste Management
Watershed Management
The purpose is to model watershed education experiences that can be replicated in PR schools. These sessions have been designed and are being led by Corazón Latino, a nonprofit organization that seeks to generate social, environmental, and conservation initiatives promoting the stewardship of natural resources.This effort supports the Collaborative Aquatic Landscape Restoration (CALR) project of the El Yunque National Forest (EYNF).
